On Friday, September 3rd, the 7th grade class spent the day exploring God’s beautiful creation in the Columbia River Gorge.
The students hiked to Wahclella Falls, where they were able to play in the stream and climb into a cave. They then ate lunch at Crown Point and admired the panoramic views. The class had a great time enjoying the beautiful day.

Koty Zelinka and Jason Cole were married on July 3, 2010 in a small ceremony in the forest near Camp 18 on the way to Seaside. Ms. Zelinka is happy to be known by her new name now, so try it out the next time you see her in the hallway!
Portland Lutheran School welcomed 220 students on opening day (Wed. Sep. 1) – a 6.3% increase over last year!
Sixty one new students helped fill the halls of PLS : 24 in PreKindergarten/Kindergarten, 8 in the elementary school, 15 in the middle school, and 14 in the high school.
Another great year has started!
