Maier named Teenager of the Month

At a recent meeting of the Gateway chapter of the Elks, Kirsten Maier, PLS junior, was presented with the Teenager of the Month award by Exalted Ruler Jim Schuermyer. Kirsten is a 4.0 student who is active in and out of school. At PLS she is involved in student leadership, the ambassador program, and athletics. She serves on her church leadership team and holds the statewide office of treasurer for the Oregon Lutheran Youth Organization (OLYO). Kirsten also enjoys reading, running, beading, knitting, and other crafts. At the ceremony, Kirsten received a US Savings Bond and a plaque to commemorate the occasion. Congratulations, Kirsten!
